Harness the Power of the New Moon In Aquarius

"The future is limitless." – Peter Thiel
On February 15th, the moon will disappear from our sight as she enters her regeneration phase.
This new moon will occur in the visionary sign of Aquarius, in the 5th house of the zodiac…that which rules creativity.
Aquarius is a sign of the mind.
It brings us the progressive energy of unique individuality, coupled with the intellectual independence needed to step fully into the role we are meant to embody in this phase of our life.
Last month’s new moon in earthy Capricorn allowed us the space to find our footing as we navigate out of the heavier, introspective months of the last quarter of 2017.
Aquarius ushers in a calm and loving energy as we use our imagination to set our sights on the future.
Imagine that the last few months of 2017 placed you into the bottom of a great ravine.
There was information that you needed to gather there. There were also things that needed to be left behind. But the time spent there was useful for your personal growth.
Last month’s Capricorn moon showed you the path that you needed in order to hike up out of that steep ravine.
As the Aquarius moon rises, it’s as if you’ve made it to the top of that mountain and you’re able to see the landscape beyond, for the first time.
What you see is beautiful and expansive and has no limit.
You have the opportunity to choose which direction you wish to move forward in and every single option has limitless possibilities.
There are several aspects to this new moon that add to Aquarius’s flavor toward the unorthodox.
On this day, the sun moves through a partial solar eclipse.
Mercury and two asteroids, Juno and Hygeia move into conjunction with the Sun and the Moon. This means that they are all within 3 degrees of one another, working to intensify the energy that each luminary brings.
Let’s look at what each of these aspects will bring to our table.
Partial Solar Eclipse
Solar eclipse energy opens a window of potential and is a heavenly sign of a new beginning.
The start of a new life cycle.
Often times as we move throughout our life we become comfortable in where we are and where we’re going.
The energy of a solar eclipse works to shade our eyes from our norms and allow us the opportunity to see brand new possibilities that we never would have seen otherwise.
They push us to step outside of our comfort zone and explore new boundaries that stretch our spirit and help us grow as beings of light.
Since this solar eclipse is a partial one, it won’t be as intense as the one we experienced last August. Instead it will usher in these new opportunities softly and with an air of love and kindness.
Mercury, Juno and Hygeia
Mercury is the planet of intelligence, perception and reason. It’s the way that you see, hear and understand information from the world. Aquarius brings an inquisitive mind to Mercury.
When you come across something that piques your interest, Mercury is going to push you to explore it further. It will encourage you to look at things in a different light, or from a new point of view.
Juno is the asteroid that governs love relationships, marriage and commitment.
It presents all of the ingredients that you need in order to fully step into and embody the true essence of love and commitment, with not only your partner, but all important relationships in your life. This includes partners, parents, siblings or friends. Most crucial of all, your relationship with yourself.
The energy of Juno will help to mend the parts of those relationships that feel broken or disconnected.
Hygeia is the asteroid that governs everything that falls under the umbrella of health. It’s your relationship to every aspect that creates a healthy life…physical, mental, emotional and environmental alike.
She is the great holistic healer and as we move into this aspect, the energy of Hygeia is going to purify.
We have been moving through a great shift and many have been experiencing the effects physically, mentally and emotionally. Many people have been feeling this as anxiety, depression and also as physical ailments, such as the common cold or flu and also as structural imbalance such as organ system dysfunction and an increase in inflammation in the body.
Hygeia’s energy will draw in the elements that you need in order to balance and purify your body, mind and environment. The energy of Aquarius will help to deliver these messages to you as thoughts. Listen carefully to your thoughts surrounding changes that you need to make in order to bring that balance into your life.
It is also worth mentioning that there is no full moon in the month of February.
Full moon cycles are a time to release and purge what isn’t working in your life. The absence of this phase in February intensifies the growth energy of the new moon.
Take some time this week and write down your vision for what kind of person you want to be and what kind of life you want to have.
Now is the time to plant the seeds that will help you grow into the person that you want to become.
This is a multifaceted energy and presents the opportunity for you to rework any area of your life.
There are no limits!
